Flood damage repairs at our HQ

Our Scout hut on Shore road has again been damaged by the local flooding. We keep trying to repair and patch but now think a new floor and improved flood defence is needed to keep our young people safe and Scouting.

Story

Our Scout hut on Shore road has mother nature knocking on our door each year and our floor suffers horrendously, we keep repairing and making good the best we can and as economically as possible but following this weeks floods we now think an upgrade to the floor and the flood defence is needed. Making these improvements will hopefully prevent this from happening again and will mean our young people and the community who use our building can continue to do so.

Each time the floor is damaged we have to cancel Scouting activities at the hut to keep our members safe.
