Story
The team at Housing with Care and Support is fundraising for an 'Acts of Kindness Fund', to enable our service users to take part in some amazing opportunities, creative and outdoor activities, and fun-filled days. Such chances which tenants may never otherwise get to experience. The team hopes to bring new experiences into people's lives to aid their self-esteem, promote self-confidence, and maintain positive relationships, all of which benefits good mental wellbeing.
By supporting this fundraising, you will be directly helping us to achieve this goal - to spread kindness into the lives of people who have, and still do, faced daily adversity with their mental health.
Events we are participating in to raise money for this fund:
-- Firewalk on 30th April: some of the team are walking over REAL fire to raise money for this campaign! They are taking part in this world record attempt - to get as many people as possible to walk over hot coals at 1,200 degrees... barefoot!
-- HWCAS summer fayre on Tuesday 29th August, from 12noon. Come and join them for fresh woodfire pizzas, a raffle, homemade cakes, games and more!
-- Normandy to Nice cycle, September 2019: Head of Housing with Care and Support, Alan T, will be embarking on the 900 mile cycle, from one end of France to the other!
