Story

Tyler and Eryn were diagnosed with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Type 5a in March 2020. Their condition is so rare that so far only 55 people worldwide have been found, 5 of those are in the UK, that is including Tyler and Eryn. HSP 5a is a degenerative neurological disorder that attacks the upper motor neurons. Over time it will mean that they will lose the use of their legs, as well as suffering other complications.

Funds will be used to help purchase specialist equipment that can aid the children in day to day life, to help fund play equipment in the garden for the children to be able to utilise their garden as much as possible whilst keeping them active and helping to regulate their moods and help build strength. It will go towards therapies and the costs of professionals in rehabilitation.

An increase in appointments to Bristol Children's Hospital means we are spending a lot of time on the road and travelling so we would like to utilise funds towards travel costs and local overnight stays when having procedures. We also wish to continue using the funds towards the ongoing training of Buddy our assistance dog who continues to support both Tyler and Eryn.

We are very grateful to everyone who donates. It helps us more than you could know.

Thank you, with all our love, The Jones Family.
