Story
Thanks to two generous $5,000 gifts from Friends Board Members Larry Keigwin and Greg Wasserman, all gifts will be matched until we reach our goal: Double your impact today and help us cross the finish line.
Did you know that Hudson River Park (HRPK) is NOT a City-run park and the Park relies on private support for its operations, maintenance and programming? This includes the operations and maintenance of our beloved Dog Runs!
This fund will help HRPK Friends fund a seasonal employee who would take on the following duties at all four of the Park's current dog runs: Chelsea Waterside, Leroy Street, Pier 84, and Tribeca (Pier 26). They would work from April through October. Their main priorities would be:
1. Pressure wash each dog park and surrounding hardscapes once a week.
2. Sweep each dog run and empty trash 2-3 per day.
3. Make minor repairs as needed.
That's why we're trying to raise $20,000 before March 1, 2022!
Ensure our dog-friendly Park stays clean, green, and growing (with tails wagging). Woof!
You may be able to double or triple your impact on our dog-friendly urban oasis through our Matching Gift Program. Please visit https://hudsonriverpark.org/get-involved/matching-gifts/ to find out more and maximize your support.
