It is now over 10 years since the unrest began in Syria. The Syrian people have fled to neighbouring countries, however, Turkey is hosting more than 3.6 million registered refugees, of whom 1.6 million are children.

International Aid Charity are on the ground in Reyhanli, Turkey. Because of the support that you have kindly provided, we have been assisting the most needy refugees with food and shelter, amongst other support for a number of years, with priority given to orphans, widows and those with special needs

For Ramadan 2021, one of our projects will be to feed the fasting by providing 150 hot cooked iftar meals every day in Ramadan to the most needy. Each iftar meal will consist of dates, ayran (yoghurt drink), lentil soup, meat & rice and will costs £3. For just £29, you can provide 10 hot meals to help feed the fasting this Ramadan and partake in the immense reward. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will not be holding our grand iftar event and will instead be delivering hot cooked packed meals to the homes/hospices of the needy. This Appeal is Zakat Applicable.

-Ramadan Food Packs: Each Ramadan Food Pack contains an Iftar Box (20kg) & a Sahoor Box (11kg), totalling 31kg and will costs just £55. This will support a Syrian refugee family during the month of Ramadan. This Appeal is Zakat Applicable;

-All In One - Family Support Pack: Each Family Support Pack will contain: a Ramadan Food Pack [consisting of a 1x 11kg Sahoor Food Box & a 1x 20kg Iftar Food Box] costing £55; 10x Feed the Fasting Hot Iftar Meals [for elderly and patients in care], costing £29; 4x Fitrana/Zakat ul Fitr [Covers a family of four for Fitrana which needs to be paid before the Eid prayer] costing £16. The total donation of just £100 covers all this benefit to refugee families this Ramadan, so please help them by donating today! This Appeal is Zakat Applicable;

-Eid Gifts For Kids: We will be providing Eid Gift Packs for 100 orphans or kids from the most needy households known to our team. The kids will each receive a set of clothes, socks, shoes, eid sweets and games or crafts like chess sets, lego, painting materials, tennis sets etc. For just £59 for each Eid Gift Pack, help make a refugee child smile with joy this Eid in the same way you would want for your own and partake in the immense reward. -Fitrana / Zakat ul Fitr: This is a religiously obligatory donation of charity paid by Muslims at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and must be donated before the Eid prayer. International Aid Charity are helping Muslims fulfil their religious obligations for Eid by providing food & cash aid to vulnerable and needy refugees. At a cost of just £4 per person, make sure to fulfil your responsibility with us and help bring a smile to someone this Eid. -Fidyah / Kaffarah: If Ramadan fasts are missed through ill health or pregnancy, which cannot be made up afterwards for legitimate reasons, Fidyah becomes payable, by paying for daily meals for the poor. If Ramadan fasts are broken without legitimate reasons, and the compensatory two months of fasting is not possible, then Kaffarah is payable, equivalent to 60 days of meals.
