Story
How you can help following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak
During these unprecedented times, our initial focus was on helping those who suddenly found themselves in a difficult position and ensuring that we got the information out to everyone in the industry. We are giving advice and helping people to access the government support which is being put in place, helping make arrangements to reduce or delay bill payments including credit debts where necessary and providing financial assistance to cover essential items, particularly food and heating. We also sadly needed to cancel or postpone all our fundraising events planned for what is usually our busiest time of the year for garden tours and flower shows.
We now need your help
Our President of Perennial Alan Titchmarsh MBE says:
"In the current crisis, the need for Perennial's help has never been greater. It really is a life-saver for gardeners and all people in horticulture who are in need of support, and our current work is making a vital difference to so many in these life-threatening times. Please do whatever you can to help the men and women who have devoted their lives to making our landscape a better place".
Like many charities, our fundraising income has taken a sudden dive, just at the time when demand for our help has increased hugely. With the reduction in plant sales at a critical time of the year and the reduction in wages for many in our industry were expecting the demands on our services teams to continue to grow over the rest of the year, and into next. So, we're asking you to please, do what you can to help us join in with our HORTAID-20 campaign.
