Story

Hopper needs to have his front left leg amputated due to an ongoing issue. He was brought into us as a stray back in March 2023, he was in a sorry state with clear signs of neglect. It looked as though he had been kept outside and had lots of sores over his body. He also had a very poorly and painful leg and since then he has had ongoing issues with lameness and pain. It has now been decided through consultation with the vets and our staff that he needs to have the leg removed. We hope that this will enable him to live a more normal life and start to enjoy his walks without pain.

Our dogs are always given the utmost care from us and we will always ensure that any treatment they need, they get. This does however impact on our funds and therefore if possible we try to raise the extraordinary amounts. We really appreciate anything you can spare.

Should we be lucky enough to raise over our target, all funds will be used for Hopper's rehabilitation and of course on the care of all of our dogs.

About the charity

Stokenchurch dog rescue was originally formed by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray and unwanted dogs. We never destroy a healthy dog, believing that somewhere there is a kind and permanent home for every dog. We also take in and care for the sick, the old and the traumatised.
