Story
As a rescue sanctuary we are passionate about making the world a better place for as many horses, ponies and donkeys as we possibly can. Any horse owner will understand that even one horse is a huge commitment - we can have up to 30 horses, ponies and donkeys on site at any time and have over 100 additional animals in rehabilitation, training and loan homes across Yorkshire. Meeting the needs of these animals incurs a huge cost.
Since the onset of COVID-19, Hope Pastures has suffered financially due to the cancellation of essential fundraising events. With so many mouths to feed, hooves to trim, teeth to have rasped, wormers to be given, bedding, hay and feed to buy, to name only a few aspects of care, we are now really starting to worry about the long term impact that our small charity may be facing.
To help raise money for our beloved four-legged residents we have launched a brand new challenge and cant wait to see all of our supporters taking part!
#HopePasturesBig30 Challenge is inclusive of everyone and we are asking you to raise £30 - that is £1 for every home that Hope Pastures can offer on-site. Your challenge can be active (riding, running, cycling, skipping, football, etc...) or can be less energetic (tack cleaning, baking, knitting, singing, etc). The choice is yours and we are really looking forward to seeing the weird and wonderful ideas that you come up with!
Our goal is to get 60 people on board, each raising £30 (or more), to reach our fundraising target of £1,800? Let's do this together! Do something quirky for Hope Pastures Big 30!
Because we are a small charity, we have very few overheads, which means that more of your donation goes directly to helping the animals. With your support, we can continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals and give them the life that they have always dreamed of.
