That's why we have been creating new families made up of orphans and widows in Zambia, Africa since 2003!
Esther (pictured above) is one of the orphaned children who joined our family homes in 2009. By the age of eight years old she had lost both of her parents and was living with her impoverished and elderly grandfather. At the age of 13, her grandfather was no longer able to take care of her. Esther then joined our widow-headed homes and would tell you that life really "changed" when she received her new forever family. Mama Mary, the widow who became her mother, invested deeply into Esther and encouraged her to achieve her life's dream. This year, that dream became a reality when Esther graduated from nursing school and accepted her first full-time job as a nurse in the Neonatal ICU of a hospital in Zambia.
It is through generous ministry supporters that Esther was able to accomplish her life's dream of becoming a nurse. In 2021 we will have 31 other students who grew up in our widow-headed family homes who will be pursuing their higher education goals; and we need supporters, like you, to help make this a reality for them too.
Like Esther, all of the students living in our family homes have tailored life plans based on their strengths, giftings, interests, and aptitude. These students are pursuing their God-given dreams and are truly becoming the future leaders of Zambia.
Give the gift of a hope-filled future this Christmas!
