Story

In today’s world, it’s so easy to book treatments that make us feel better on the outside; our hair, nails, and more. Now, imagine a place where that same ease is available for your mental health. That’s the vision we’re bringing to life: a dedicated mental health hub, located in the heart of central Bristol. This unique space will offer free, confidential, and non-judgmental mental health support to anyone in need, from passers-by and families, to retail workers, emergency services personnel, and local business owners.

It's setting is amongst a tranquil Victorian-style alleyway of quirky shops and cafes. Hundreds of people pass through each day, creating a calming yet vibrant atmosphere. Nestled here, we have been offered a space to use as a mental health listening hub, a place to pause, reflect, and regain strength. It will be safe and welcoming; a vital pit stop for mental health care and support, whether for personal struggles or for those supporting others.

Our vision is for this place to be a home from home atmosphere with sofa's, rugs, fairy lights and more. However, we need a little bit of help to fund this space, to ensure it remains a space we can keep open to support our community.

At the hub, individuals can book appointments with trained Mental Health & Wellbeing Officers who are experts in mental health first aid, suicide prevention, and lived experience, offering compassion and care beyond measure. They will look to build upon key skills needed like resilience, and equipping people with vital social and coping skills.

The space will host not only a walk in listening service, but also both one-on-one sessions and small group activities designed to engage the mind and body, offering creative outlets such as cooking classes, personal training, and crafts, providing a holistic approach to mental well-being. This is more than just a service, it’s a community hub where people can reconnect, recharge, and reclaim their sense of well-being.
