Help Bring Hope to Lesotho in 2021
My name is Lebs and I am 20 years old. I live here in Maseru with my grandparents and my 2 sisters. My grandfather has been unwell so I have been trying to find odd jobs to support the family. I have been struggling to provide for us as there is very little work available because of Corona. We would really like to thank the people who gave to help us. May God protect you so that you can continue to bless others"
This year many of the most vulnerable families in Lesotho have found themselves in Lebs' position.
Since December 2020, case numbers in Lesotho have risen exponentially. There have been three times more cases in the last month, than in the whole of last year put together. Recently lockdown restrictions have been tightened, which leaves many people without food security.
The county's borders have been closed since last March which has affected many businesses, particularly the small ones. This has left countless people without jobs.
Good friends of City Church Dundee, Pete and Jo West, lead River of Life Church in Maseru. In partnership with other churches and organisations like Trust for Africa, they have started Hope For Lesotho (Tsepo ea Lesotho). Since March 2020, Hope for Lesotho has already delivered care packages to 300 vulnerable families.
Our 2021 Care Package will be as follows:
Thank you for partnering with us to bring hope to the hopeless!
