Story

We are frustrated to report that Hope Garden and Shop was broken into TWICE in the past 2 weeks! The office/shop was targeted overnight on Thursday 20th March, and the Teashed overnight on Tuesday 1st April, smashing windows each time.

In order to re-secure the site we are now facing a glazing bill to board up and replace broken windows, costs from new office phone and card machine and some other bits that were taken or damaged during the break. As a Charity we are always operating on a tight budget, so this was an unwelcome expense taking funds and energy away from other projects onsite.

We are hoping to raise £1,000 to cover damage and losses incurred, and invest in some extra security measures around site. As there were 2 separate break-ins our insurance excess would wipe out most of any claims we made, so your donation is greatly appreciated and will allow us to get back to what we do best - supporting trainees with horticultural and social opportunities and growing some delicious organic produce.

Thank you from all of us at Hope Organic Garden.
