Sharon Arroyo lived in Cleveland for over 40 years. After successfully raising four children and supporting their every endeavor, she humbly began to invest in her own future. Already a certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Ohio, she returned to Cuyahoga Community College to pursue an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Her philosophy was to prepare herself for an ever-changing world with a fluctuating job market. In fact, she often joked about taking a career as a full-time student to continuously quench her thirst for knowledge.
Although a single mother, she worked her way through Tri-C and acquired her degree in 1987. Regardless of where she worked, she always seemed to be advocating for the Latino community; spending countless hours interpreting and translating for various families, clients, and individuals whenever the need arose.
