Verene was allocated a plot of land by Solace Ministries charity. The home she built is a mud hut which unfortunately is not safe to live in. She cannot afford to build a new and safe home, which will cost RWF 7,452,500 (£5,540 GBP), details below.
Before the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda, Verene was married with 5 children. All her children and her husband were killed during the genocide and she was the lone survivor. She has experienced a lot of trauma, not only due to the loss of her entire family, but she was also raped by many men during the genocide while she was tied up. Fortunately, she was not infected with HIV Aids.
She lives with her trauma despite meeting many counsellors. She cries a lot but she also likes being with people, interacting and getting involved in the community.

Thanks to your generous support, Solace Ministries charity has achieved its fundraising target of £5,540 to build a new home for Verene. The home has been completed and Verene has moved in, praise God.
