Story
This year, Pawprints Dog Rescue have worked much harder on far less resources than ever before, due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now facing massive challenges that we didnt expect just a few months ago. We have had no fundraising events to attend; our charity shop has now closed twice, and has cost us hugely in meeting our contractual obligations and we have had so many dogs with major medical needs, some requiring extensive surgeries. All this at a time when the sector is being warned of an impending crisis facing us, when the mass demand on puppy sales/imported dogs seen during this year, begin to impact the number of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs in the very near future. ALL animal sector businesses and charities, we have not had the support that other sectors have seen by way of grant funding from the Government. It is a desperate time for all, but we are facing a very bleak future. We are trying to keep our doors open this Christmas a time when a dog rescue is most needed and need help now, before it is too late.
The ultimate sad reality will be that dogs will die because we simply cannot take them. It is a sector-wide issue, some rescue centres may well close for good in the coming months. Please dont let us be one of them.
This Christmas, please help us to provide the resources and care to save dogs lives, so that dogs like Remo who arrived in such a neglected state can learn to forgive humans their cruelty and know only kindness in the future.
