Story
In the United Kingdom up to 15% of children are born with some type of hip instability. Early screening of the hips, when key risks factors are present, may identify the severity of the instability. Most of these issues will self-correct over time either naturally or with the support of braces.

Steps work so hard in order to support children, parents and adults suffering with hip problems. We are always there to support, whether it is on the end of a phone, via social media or by email. We answer thousands of questions a day related to hip issues. We also take part in lots of research and of course have given out hundreds of free car seats to families in past years so that they can continue to get out and about and without the additional expense of buying a new car seat. We also supply hospitals and doctors lots of free information packs to supply to parents who are perhaps just on the beginning of their journey. We know the importance of giving parents as much information as possible is crucial.
As we do not get any more from the Government, we rely totally on donations from the public. So this is why campaigns like the 'Hip Dip' are so important. It helps us to continue to help all those that are affected by hip conditions. So let's get swimming! Raise money for Steps and at the same time let's spread as much awareness as possible. And of course swimming is great for the hip joints! So what are you waiting for?!
