Story
Young people who have experienced childhood trauma, or escaped domestic violence, too often become homeless. Sleeping on sofas or in hostels, they struggle to find work with devastating effect on their self-confidence and mental health. Its a vicious spiral which is hard to break. That's where Amber comes in. We provide a temporary home and a programme of support that helps young people transform their lives for good. 72% move on from Amber into independent, safe housing, with a job or back into education.
By taking part in Hike the Hill 2023, you will be supporting a bed space at Farm Place in Ockley, enabling a young person to come off the street and transform their life with our support. Register with £20 to receive your free Amber t-shirt for the walk!
