Story
Martin Edwards: When we started this appeal in January we were looking to raise enough money to fund two Julias House nurses. That seemed a big ask but with the spread of COVID-19, the appeal is now much bigger. We are still visiting families in their homes and offering a lifeline of care to hugely vulnerable children, when they may otherwise be isolated from the outside world and we will continue to do so for as long as we possibly can.
At the same time, we are having to postpone and cancel some of our flagship fundraising events. Were almost 100% publicly funded and we estimate this is going to take £1 million of our income this year. We know these are difficult times and everyone is worried, but we so need people to support the HIIT Squad. Our families often dont have anyone other than Julias House to turn to, so people giving today will help us ensure we can carry on supporting the children in our community who need us the most.
Joining Eddie and Martin in the AFC Bournemouth gym for their marathon HIIT workout will be business leaders from across Dorset and Wiltshire with BH Live instructors putting them through their paces. Those taking up the ultimate HIIT challenge include Jason Gault of Team Jobs, Jamie Wollen of JWA Consulting, High Roper of Rockets and Rascals, Natasha Chedgy of Dynamic Health, Tim Brown of Superior Seals and Pip Woods and Peter Gordon of Rockley Watersports. This influential group of business people will help take the fundraising challenge to a different level, with the support of their staff and clients.
In addition to that, BH Live Active are delivering their own 2-hour Insanity class at Littledown on Wednesday 19th September (6pm-8pm) for YOU to take part in. Together, we hope to get 300 sign ups, each paying £10, which will go in it's entirety to Julia's House.
