High Sheriff of Worcestershire Andrew Manning-Cox is fundraising to support the High Sheriffs Fund in 2022/23. Hosted by Worcestershire Community Foundation, this year the Fund will place a particular emphasis in supporting mental health organisations across the County. For the 2022/23 Shrieval year, Worcestershire Community Foundation (WCF) is delighted to be working with High Sheriff of Worcestershire Andrew Manning-Cox. WCF hosts the High Sheriffs Fund which acts as a catalyst for all funding raised by each High Sheriff during their Shrieval Year and then decides which local causes to support.

This year, Andrew is placing an emphasis on mental health and will look to support Worcestershire organisations which do great work in this field, especially during such a difficult time post-Covid when mental health and wellbeing challenges are at an all-time high.

Andrew commented: ' So many individuals and organisations in Worcestershire have gone the extra mile over the last 2 years to support people through the severest of challenges and have done so largely unsung. If my Shrievalty year has a theme it would be the unsung heroes and heroines of the County. I want to help shine a light on them and celebrate them and therefore seek out and help those individuals, communities and organisations across Worcestershire in particular need of support as a result of the effects of the pandemic. I will be particularly aiming to support mental health charities, organisations and initiatives assisting all age groups and communities.

During my year in office, I will be working closely with Worcestershire Community Foundation, as the charitable hub for the whole County, and which hosts the High Sheriffs Fund. They are a source of great support to the County and have stepped up to the plate magnificently during the pandemic.'
