Every day and night our Winchester theatre teams perform life-saving procedures with focus, precision, and care. But the one space they rely on to rest and recover during long shifts is needs to be refurbished to create a suitable space for breaks.

Unlike other clinical teams, theatre staff can’t access the hospital restaurant in their scrubs, and means they depend on a dedicated breakroom space close to theatres that's suitable for a large number clinical staff to use throughout the day.

To support them, we're looking to fund the full refurbishment of this vital space to create a comfortable, communal area where our valued staff can truly rest and recharge.

This refurbishment will transform the current room into a welcoming break area where staff can sit on comfortable sofas or at tables, enjoy their meals and connect with colleagues. By redesigning the space and improving capacity, more staff will be able to enjoy restful breaks close by, ensuring they're refreshed and ready to offer vital care to our patients.
