A message from Hope for Tomorrow Chairman Dr Sean Elyan, Consultant Oncologist appealing for urgent support to ensure we keep the wheels turning on all the Mobile Cancer Care Units we provide to NHS Trusts across the country. It is vital we do all we can to continue to support the NHS so they can sustain cancer care treatments for patients who at this time, are particularly vulnerable.
Dear Supporters,
COVID-19: Help Hope for Tomorrow continue to support NHS Trusts with mobile cancer care units in unprecedented circumstances
Following the outbreak of COVID-19, I urgently appeal to you for help during this difficult and uncertain time for Hope for Tomorrow and the cancer patients we support.
Our approach of delivering cancer care closer to patients home has never been more important than now, sparing patients and their families trips to hospital which could put them at risk.
We are living through unprecedented times and this new virus poses a huge risk to already vulnerable cancer patients during their treatment.
Hope for Tomorrow and our dedicated NHS Trust partners are tirelessly doing everything we can to support these cancer patients through these trying times, keep them safe and alleviate the added stress the virus creates.
We are facing the biggest challenge of our time, and we are not immune to the effects of this outbreak.
We are already seeing a huge reduction in our income, with fundraising events, corporate events and fundraising challenge events having to be cancelled. We are a charity that totally relies on voluntary donations as we dont receive any GOVERNMENT FUNDING. We urgently need your help.
In response to the current crisis, we have set up an Emergency Appeal to ensure our charity can continue the essential service we provide with the NHS Trusts. We need to raise £217,000 to keep all of our units out on the road during April through to June 2020, providing cancer care treatments in the safest possible environment for patients with severely depleted immunity.
I am appealing to you, our amazing supporters, and friends, to do what you can to help us to continue to support the NHS. Please give what you can.
With thanks,
Dr Sean Elyan
