Her Justice stands with women living in poverty in New York City by recruiting and mentoring volunteer lawyers to provide free legal help to address individual and systemic legal barriers.
At Her Justice, we provide free, critical legal services to women who couldn't otherwise afford them, women who must go through the civil justice system to access basic rights. We stand with them as they navigate a system that has only become more inaccessible during the pandemic. And we leave the system better than we found it, not only for the 8,000 women and children we serve each year, but for all New Yorkers. We believe that a system that works for the most vulnerable among us will, by definition, work for everyone.
