THE HENRY CECIL OPEN WEEKEND GOES VIRTUAL
This years Henry Cecil Open Weekend will not take place in its traditional format due to coronavirus, instead we will be bringing action from horseracings HQ straight into your homes with the first free- to-view virtual Open Weekend.
Here is what you need to know:

DATES: Tours will be available to view throughout the weekend, 19th & 20th September, on our dedicated Videos page. Full schedule to be announced.
STABLE TOURS: See behind the scenes at some of the countrys leading training operations, with William Haggas, Charlie Appleby, James Fanshawe, Saeed Bin Suroor, Charlie Fellowes, plus many more, offering a unique insight into the history and day to day routine at each of their yards.
NEWMARKET TOURS: Enjoy virtual tours of leading equines sites in Newmarket, including Godolphins Darley Stud, Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons, British Racing School, and the National Horse Racing Museum (NHRM).
ENTERTAINMENT: The hugely popular Clipper Logistic Show Jumping Competition, won last year by Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy, will also be available to watch online and will once again be contested by some of the sports biggest names. While we also will be providing highlights from this years Al Shaqab RoR Hacks Show Class at the NHRM.
COMMENTATOR CHALLENGE: The Henry Cecil Commentator Challenge, supported by the Tote, Tattersalls and Racing TV, is a new aspect to the weekend. The competition, open to the public, will offer entrants the opportunity to film and record their best race commentary, with the winner picking up a cheque for £1,000 plus the chance to commentate live at Newmarket Racecourse during the 2021 Open Weekend. CHARITIES: The Henry Cecil Open Weekend 2020 is raising money in support of Racing Welfare, British Racing School, and The Racing Centre.
