Story
For over 30 years our aim has been to prevent family crisis and breakdown in Aberdeen.
Our support provides crucial help for struggling young families, who have at least one child under 5. We support families affected by social isolation, bereavement, relationship problems, illness, disability and financial hardship.
Coronavirus has hit these families particularly hard, putting their physical and mental health under immense strain. The increased stress, anxiety and uncertainty can heighten the risk of parenting burnout and family breakdown.
Right now, we're offering practical support helping families gain access to basic essentials including nappies, milk, food, and medicine.
We're also responding to the growing need for emotional support. Each family is matched with a dedicated volunteer providing friendship and reassurance.
We've adapted our normal home-visiting service to ensure we can continue to support families safely. We're now using phone calls, video chat, email and text to stay connected and be there when they need us most.
We're doing everything we can, but we can't do it alone.
We're losing thousands of pounds of funding because of coronavirus.
Families can't wait. They need our help now.

All funds raised go directly towards supporting local Aberdeen families.
