Story
Sanctus urgently needs your help! Since the outbreak of the COVID-19, our usual food donations have dwindled and the demand on our service has increased. It has been a difficult time for Sanctus and we know this will continue for a number of weeks. We are now one of the only places continuing to feed the homeless and most vulnerable in Chelmsford and we ask for your support to ensure we can continue to do this.
Our service is continually evolving and expanding and we are now providing breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week for 80-100 people each day. We are feeding the rough sleepers housed in the Travel Lodge as well as those still on the streets. We are serving those in need of food who, for a variety of reasons, need our help with this at this time. We are also continuing to offer advice and support over the phone. Our priority is to keep our services running daily for those who need us. We are working closely with a number of other community groups and charities to provide the best support possible.
We are relying on donations to continue operating based on many cancelled fundraising events and other sources of funds that have been impacted by the virus. We hope with the support of the community we will survive through this difficult time and adapt our services to meet the demand in Chelmsford.
