Story
Hi, my name is Bella and I am a single mum raising my wonderful 7-year-old son, Thomas, alongside his older sisters who also have ADHD.
Thomas is autistic and faces challenges with speech, communication, behaviour, sensory processing, and understanding danger. He is a happy little boy who loves cars, planes, animals, bugs, being outdoors, and riding his scooter.
One of our biggest challenges is safety. Thomas can run unexpectedly into the street and does not always recognise danger, which means he cannot safely enjoy activities he loves. He also has a strong sensitivity to loud noises, and everyday environments can become overwhelming and distressing for him.
We are fundraising to help provide specialist support and equipment for Thomas, including speech and communication support, sensory equipment for noise sensitivity, and a specialist adaptive bike so he can enjoy being active safely.
As a single mum, I do everything I can for my children, but these extra supports are difficult to afford alone.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help Thomas feel safer, communicate more confidently, and enjoy more of the world around him.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting Thomas ❤️
