I'm sure you're as deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic scenes unfolding in Ukraine as I am. We are pulling out all the stops to get life-saving humanitarian aid to where it's needed most and to provide emergency evacuations to those living in high-conflict areas.

So far, we have delivered 20 tons of aid including food, hygiene products, baby items, medical supplies and sleeping bags to those in Ukraine and surrounding countries. We've also transported over 150 people from the border to safer destinations within Hungary.

This emergency fundraiser aims to purchase a van in order to complete emergency evacuations of the vulnerable trapped in high-conflict zones in Ukraine. Once running, we will need regular donations in order to cover the running costs of our van and living costs of our brave volunteer drivers.

Any additional funds raised over the goal will be ring-fenced and ready to assist with future projects regarding Ukrainian refugees.

** UPDATE **

Thank you so so much for all of your donations so far. We've now purchased a van and it arrived in Ukraine last week (20th April). Our team are staying close to the conflict zone in the east of Ukraine and conducting daily evacuations, mainly of the elderly and immobile. They're most being taken to local train stations where there are special cars available for those with mobility issues. The trains are taking them west, to safer cities in Ukraine or further - into Europe.

Without your donations none of this would be possible, and none of these projects will be able to continue so please continue to spread the word and get fundraising! Just £30 will cover the cost of petrol to run our van for a day. £100 pays for our volunteer drivers to stay somewhere safe and comfortable for a week, allowing them to refuel after a gruelling day.
