Rescue Malibu: Let's Her Breathe Again
Meet Malibu, a sweet-natured 3-year-old French Bulldog abandoned due to overwhelming care needs. With an improperly formed ear and severe breathing and eye issues associated with her breed, Malibu's quality of life hangs in the balance.
We understand many dogs suffer from issues due to their breeding, but Malibu has been unlucky, and the impact on her is so severe it affects her day-to-day.
Despite her plight, she's full of love, but her struggles are real. Malibu's distress is palpable; her breathing is laboured. She requires urgent BAOS surgery to thrive, along with corrective surgery on her Cherry Eye.
What is BAOS?
Brachycephalic Airway Obstruction Syndrome (BAOS) occurs in breeds with short, flattened skulls like Pugs. It leads to breathing difficulties due to narrowed airways, causing chronic discomfort and respiratory distress. Common signs include snoring, mouth breathing, and struggling to breathe. BAOS can be life-threatening, especially during exercise or in hot weather.
Your kindness can change her story. With your support, Malibu can breathe freely, play without fear, and enjoy the life every dog deserves. Your donation is her lifeline. Join us in giving Malibu a chance at a brighter, healthier future. Together, we can make a difference in Malibu's life.
If we're lucky enough to raise more than £1,500 for Malibu, this will go towards rescuing other animals that find themselves in similar situations.
