Help Fix Jinx!

Jinx is having surgery today to fix his jaw, which was previously broken - likely from being hit by a car - so needs a wire placed to fix back into place. Help us fund Jinx's operation; all donations are appreciated to get him ready to rehome!

Established in the 1960s, the SAA takes in unwanted and abandoned cats and rabbits. All the animals are micro-chipped, neutered and vaccinated, and the SAA never puts a healthy animal down. The animals are given food, shelter and veterinary care, until loving new homes are found.

Story

Meet ginger ninja Jinx! He is a 3 year old boy who was living as a stray before coming into the rescue in November - one of the first through the doors when we opened up again. Jinx is a friendly, chatty and endlessly charismatic cat who should have been easy to rehome to loving forever home. However, unfortunately he has been beset with a number of health issues. It has taken a while to sort out his stomach issues and get him onto a diet that works but the main issue has been his jaw and teeth. Jinx is missing a number of teeth and has a damaged jaw, most likely from being hit by a car when he was a stray. Unfortunately whatever damage was done was not seen by a vet so left to heal itself, which has meant ongoing problems. He is at the vets today to have surgery to put a wire in to fix his jaw into place which will hopefully allow it to heal correctly. The vets will also be trying to sort out and protect the few teeth he has remaining.

We are hoping to raise money to help fund the costs associated with Jinx's op. Anything further would go towards other dental surgeries for the cats in the rescue, such as Jess who is heading in later in the week to remove an abscessed tooth. Teeth issues are very common with long term strays so end up being a huge cost to any cat rescue so any help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
