Help Henry

Stray cat Henry has arrived at our centre with extremely painful and infected eyes. We've treated infections and ulcers and now he's left needing an operation to relieve him of his pain and give him a fresh new start.

Story

Henry has been living on the streets for months at least until a kind lady cared enough to bring him into us. Sadly he's arrived with painful red eyes that he's often unable to open. We've treated his current infections and have also treated him for eye ulcers which have now cleared up, however more vet treatment is needed for the (hopefully) final step in his journey to a pain free life.... but sadly for us, it's not a cheap one. We're hoping to raise £800 towards an operation to fix a condition he's suffering with called entropion. This is where his eye lids have turned in on themselves and now his eyelashes that should be on the outside, are rubbing on his eyes on the inside. Animal Care Supervisor, Daniella explains more:

This is an extremely painful condition that he's in. We all know how uncomfortable it can be to get something in your eye, and poor Henry is like that all the time. Thinking of him living on the streets and fending for himself with this condition is truly awful and we can't wait to turn his life around and show him what a happy, painfree life in a home looks like. Despite all the pain he's in, he's such a sweet and friendly cat who loves a bit of fuss; animals showing us once again just how special they are.

So please help us hit our target of £800 to give Henry the painfree life he deserves.
