Story
Shifas mission is to serve uninsured and vulnerable community members with high-quality medical care free of charge to TriCounty indigent residents. As a multispecialty clinic, we offer a number of services including primary care, prenatal, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, vision, dental, and mental health with a holistic approach to life.
In addition, we have and on-site food pantry and annual community outreach events including Turkey, back to school and Holiday giveaways. We have maintained a clear focus on our mission and a commitment to medical, organizational and operational excellence, where patients are treated with respect, dignity, and compassion, and enable strong and trusting relationships with community and other organizations.
We continue to value the attention to chronic medical conditions required throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and provide screenings for chronic medical conditions and COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. We will provide screening for hypertension, hearing loss, BMI, anemia, lung cancer (questionnaire for eligibility), hereditary cancers (genetic screening via blood sample), and register eligible candidates for no-cost mammograms. We would also provide COVID-19 outreach education along with the administration of vaccines and boosters.
A screen per person has a cost about $20 include A1C cartridges, heamoglobin currettes, bandaid, alcohol swaps, wipes, gloves, among others. We appreciate your financial support.
You can help with the intention to build a healthier community and contribute to the health, wellness and well-being of the uninsured and vulnerable community of the Lowcountry.
