Story

Fundraising Target: £700 (to cover 7 sessions at £100 each)

At Headspace, we believe in the power of gardening to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Our Gardening Wellbeing Sessions provide a hands-on, nature-based experience where young people can connect with the outdoors, develop new skills, and boost their confidence.

Why Gardening?

Spending time at the Headspace allotment (in the Spring/Summer months) offers young people the chance to:

🌿 Engage in physical activity and outdoor exploration, helping to reduce stress and improve mood

🌱 Learn how to grow and care for plants, fostering a sense of accomplishment and responsibility

🌸 Experience mindfulness and connection with nature, promoting resilience and emotional wellbeing

Through planting, tending, and harvesting, young people gain valuable life skills, all while enjoying the calming effects of working with nature in a supportive and inclusive space.

How You Can Help:

Each session costs £100 to run, covering instructor fees, equipment, and materials. We need to raise £700 to fund all 7 sessions.

£10 could help provide seeds and gardening tools

£25 could cover ingredients for a cooking session

£100 could fund an entire session

Your donation will directly help young people gain confidence, develop practical skills, and experience the wellbeing benefits of gardening and cooking.

🥕 Donate today and support young minds through nature and nourishment!
