The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileJoin Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) in taking on a hair removal challenge to support blood cancer patients and their families across Devon.
Either shave, cut, dye or wax your hair to help Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) raise vital funds towards our emergency appeal. All the money raised from this campaign will be put towards our £20,000 target to fund an ELF Patient Support Coordinator; a frontline support worker based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital's Haematology Centre.
It's so easy to get involved! Choose your method of hair removal, set your challenge date and location (e.g. local barber, salon, beauty therapist, at home, your workplace, school, community hall etc.) and set up your own sponsorship fundraising page today by selecting the 'start fundraising' button on the top right of this page. Please contact us if you would like physical sponsorship forms and a collection bucket to collect cash donations.
Which method will you choose?
SHAVE - Brave the shave and shave your head, beard, or eyebrows.
CUT - Make the cut and chop off your long hair or ponytail.
WAX - Wax your chest or legs!
DYE - Dye your hair or beard, temporarily or even permanently if you're brave enough?!
The ELF Patient Support Coordinator will be on hand to pick up the pieces after the shock of a blood cancer diagnosis. They will provide a friendly face to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, and a helping hand when needed, directing a patient to ELF's range of support services throughout their draining treatment schedule. Additionally, the Coordinator will be there to support a patient's family members, who will face their own challenges and emotions whilst caring for their loved one.
