Story
Heritage Charity London believes that every child deserves a stable and safe environment. The current refugee crisis in Ukraine has urged our charity to support as many children living in constant fear and distress due to the consequences of war.
Our charity acknowledges that this is a humanitarian crisis. We want to extend our support and care to children fleeing from refugee camps, derelict homes, and homelessness with an urgent focus on Ukraine. Heritage Charity London is asking for a donation of any size to provide food, clothing, and medical equipment to children in Ukraine.
Heritage Charity London is asking for a donation of any size to provide food, clothing, and medical equipment to children in Ukraine. For many Ukrainians, the scenes they are witnessing is a vivid reminder of a time everyone hoped would stay buried in history. No one expected chaos and destruction to return to the heart of Europe. The scenes of destruction and war are a reminder of the atrocities of the second world war, where Hitler destroyed everything in his path to victory. Both then and now, the Ukrainian people a caught in the crossfire.
Stories emerging of children and women running for their lives, alone, scared, and with no help. They seek shelter in neighboring and culturally similar states such as Poland, Hungary, Romania. These countries have welcomed the fleeing refugees with open arms. Reports in Poland of mass assistance being provided once Ukrainians cross into polish territory. They are greeted with water bottles, food, shelter, and chocolate for children. As Poland stands in solidary with the people of Ukraine, we cannot help but wonder how long such assistance will continue. This level of aid can only be provided with active donations to support the charitable effort in eastern Europe.
Mothers are unable to sleep at night for fear of their children while their husbands are defending Ukraine's sovereignty. Many Ukrainians want to return home and return to their loved ones. But many dread that there will be nothing to return to. A once beautiful and culturally rich country with proud people turned to rubble and ash. The corpses of the dead and those buried in mass graves are horrific nightmares nobody thought would become real.
The scenes being witnessed by children are disgraceful, and one of the worst humanitarian cases around the world is unfolding on our doorstep. With roughly eight million people fleeing the conflict. The money that we raise will also help those escaping violence into neighboring countries such as Poland and Hungary.
With the money raised, we will provide essential items for refugees, which will contribute to the more significant refugee support effort.
