Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We reach out to you with heavy hearts to share the story of Hassan Khebbeiz, a 59-year-old refugee from Damascus, Syria. Hassan's life was marked by resilience and hardship, having lost his parents at a young age and working as a laborer to make ends meet. Like so many others fleeing conflict, he sought refuge in the UK, hoping to provide a better life for his family.
Tragically, Hassan was found in the temporary accommodation provided by the government, having passed away suddenly while reading the Quran. In the face of such a profound loss, his wife and two young children, who are now alone in the UK, are left to navigate this difficult time without the support of extended family. Hassan's brother and four sisters remain in Syria, unable to be here during this painful period.
As we mourn the passing of our brother, we seek your compassionate support to raise £3,700 for Hassan’s burial plot fee. While the funeral director costs are generously covered by Iqbal and Sons Bereavement Services, we need your help to ensure that Hassan is laid to rest with the dignity he deserves.
