Story
When COVID-19 first hit, La Casa Norte knew that our communities would be the most impacted. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to meet our citys needs and have served more than 10,000 youth and families experiencing homelessness. By providing meals, housing, case management, cash assistance, and other resources, we continue to make our vision a reality.
Despite an increased need for our services, our fundraising opportunities have been diminished. Each year, we participate in the Greater Chicago Food Depositorys Annual Hunger Walk to raise funds to go toward food for our programming. Unfortunately, their event has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19. However, this will not stop us from raising the necessary funds to provide nutritional meals for our youth and families.
We invite you to join us for Harvesting Hope! This six-week digital fundraising campaign will highlight the importance of providing healthy meals, fresh groceries, and nutrition education for our community. Support Hunger Action Month with us!
