Story
QE's House Music competition returns in 2023 with the challenge for each house, in each of years 7-10, to put on a short celebratory concert for the School's 450th anniversary.
Having moved into the spectacular surroundings of The Friends' Recital Hall and Music Rooms last year, our musicians are getting involved to do their bit to raise funds for our next major project, The Robert Dudley Studio in the Main Building. We hope to begin construction work on its transformation this summer, but to do so we need your help.
Please give whatever you can in donations and sponsorship so that we can advance our plans to offer students state-of-the-art facilities in more areas of school life, increasing the opportunities available to current and future generations.
Not only did Robert Dudley petition Queen Elizabeth I for the Charter that established our school 450 years ago, but he was a notable supporter of the performing arts. He also knew how to throw a great party! The celebration he held for the Queen at his home, Kenilworth Castle, lasted 19 days and is remembered centuries later. Please get involved by performing or donating and support the boys so that our own celebrations can have a great legacy, also to be remembered in the years to come.
Our state funding is insufficient to be able to invest in these major upgrades to our learning environment. The transformation of our campus is therefore wholly thanks to the generosity of our donors. We are grateful for your wonderful support.
