Story

This year we are hoping to raise money to renovate some of the outdoor play areas across both sites (Harberton and Harberton North), which are in great need of a revamp. The spaces we have for our children are extremely important; they offer areas for the children to learn through play, to regulate and to develop friendships. Much of the equipment we currently have is run-down and needs to be replaced. Our children love the trips we take throughout the year to the park; this would allow us to bring the park to them, providing them with a safe area for enjoyment throughout the day.

Our aim is to provide new playground equipment, such as climbing frames, swing sets and other playground apparatus, along with soft surface flooring. We would also like to include an awning/covering to allow our children to make use of the space regardless of weather conditions, as well as allowing the space to be used as an outdoor classroom.  However, suitable equipment is extremely costly; renovating the three play areas identified as most urgently in need would cost an estimated £100,000. So, this is our goal! This money is an investment in our children’s school experience, and we hope you will support our fundraising efforts in whatever way you can.
