Happy Hannah wants to become more independent.
Hannah is a very happy 12 year old who has Grade 4 Cerebral Palsy.
I am fundraising to support Hannah to have private Physio within Suresteps physiotherapy, which has been a godsend she has done so well in standing, kneeling and tummy time! Also I am looking to get the garden all accessible for Hannah to use her new trike and put up her swing which will help her with leg movements. This will help Hannah to become a little more independent.
Hannah was born a day over her due date via emergency C-section due to her heart rate going high and very low. When she was born she was tiny!
A few days later Hannah had a seizure which made her very lethargic and the next day she was admitted to hospital at 4 days old where the doctors told me she has hypoglycemia. Her first month of her life was spent in HDU.
I was told Hannah has a brain injury, severely sight impaired, epilepsy and was told she will not sit up stand walk or talk. Fast forward 11 years ahead Hannah has come on leaps and bounds thanks to intensive physio, hydro pool swimming, stander, walker, splints and her wheelchair.
Continuing physio with Sure Steps will push Hannah further to become a little independent and stronger with standing, taking steps , sitting and kneeling.
The back garden also needs to made accessible so Hannah can make full use of her specialist trike. At the moment there is a step which make is hard for the trike to be taken out. The garden will also need to be made flat and her accessible swing to be put up. The costings to get the garden flat all one level and to add artificial grass so we can put her accessible swing up is approximately £16000.
Having all this done will allow Hannah to become stronger in her forever home.
Thank you everyone!
