HELP, OUR RESIDENT'S HAVE EATEN ALL OUR HAY!!

We are appealing for funds to help us through these last few cold months, which is the most difficult time of year.

We've already spent over £7,000 on hay and straw up until the end of January, which has greatly depleted our funds and we are desperate for help over these next 8 weeks.

Our 204 animals need daily hay to eat and many need deep straw beds to keep them dry and warm.

Our little boy champ chooses to sleep on his own so he needs an extra deep bed to keep him warm.

Our 11 cows are eating more than we ever imagined and need good quality hay to keep them fit and healthy during these cold winter months. Our donations are rapidly being eaten up and we need immediate funds to pay for this food and bedding.

Our 11 cows are now four years old and need one large bale a day during this time of year.

Our 62 sheep now have very little grazing and need a quarter of a large bale a day.

Our 17 ponies and donkeys need a 1/4 of a large bale a day

In the winter all our piggy's need extra straw bedding to keep them warm and dry along with our goats and vulnerable sheep that come inside at night. They use a large bale of straw every week.

Our two cows that are inside need very deep straw due to Bobby's injury on his foot and are having a bale a week.

We use 10 large bales of hay a week at £40 a bale = £400

We use 2 large bales of straw a week at £35 a bale = £70

The Sanctuary will need this for at least another 8 weeks which means we have to find £3760 to make sure we have enough hay and straw for our cows, ponies, sheep, goats, pigs and donkeys

This doesn't include any hard feed or other costs, just hay and bedding.

Our cows are now so big they are using much more hay than we anticipated which is essential to keep them healthy and warm.
