It is hard to remember when Haiti and its people had their last piece of good luck. The country has been hit by another disaster; this time a 7.2 magnitde earthquake. At time of writing, nearly 1,500 are feared dead and the number is rising. People are left without the basics of life. The Methodist Church in Ireland values its worldwide family and is responding through its sister church, the United Methodist Church of Haiti. Knowing of Irish Methodists' actions, the President of UMCH, Rev Jean Lesly Dorcely, says, "On behalf of the United Methodist Church of Haïti, we are so grateful for you thinking of the Haïtien people in this moment of tragedy. Any support will be appreciated.
