Have a Heart Wolverhampton — Supporting Cardiac Recovery, Building Healthier Futures
Since opening our doors in August 2022, Have a Heart Wolverhampton has become a vital part of cardiac rehabilitation for patients across Wolverhampton and the surrounding communities. Created by the Wolverhampton Cardiac Support Group (WCASG), this dedicated Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Centre was established to secure the future of a service that has already supported local heart patients for more than 30 years.
The vision was simple but powerful: to create a sustainable, welcoming space where people recovering from heart conditions could safely rebuild their strength, confidence and quality of life. By bringing services under one roof, we’ve been able to offer a more stable and structured Phase 4 exercise programme, combining supervised group sessions with personalised exercise plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Our centre has also allowed us to expand what support looks like. Alongside rehabilitation exercise, members now benefit from additional services including complementary therapies and a social space where people can connect, share experiences and combat the isolation that often follows cardiac illness. For many, this sense of community is just as important as the physical rehabilitation.
Over the past few years, Have a Heart Wolverhampton has supported countless patients on their recovery journeys — helping them regain independence, improve fitness, and feel reassured that they are not facing heart disease alone. The stability of having our own dedicated facility means fewer cancelled sessions, greater continuity of care, and a more personalised experience for every member.
As a charity, however, our work depends heavily on community support. To continue providing long-term cardiac rehabilitation — and to ensure future patients across Wolverhampton have access to the same life-enhancing services — we rely on donations, fundraising and local goodwill.
Every contribution helps us keep this essential service running, develop new programmes, and continue supporting heart patients today and for many years to come. Together, we can ensure that Have a Heart Wolverhampton remains a place of recovery, encouragement and hope for our community.
