Story

Stanton St Quintin Primary and Nursery School places great value not just in teaching children to read, but in fostering a life long love of books and stories. Our current library is limited and very out-dated. We want to create an environment where the children of all ages can immerse themselves in reading, surrounded by books to explore, so that everyone can find something that fires their imagination. The library will sit at the heart of the school, inviting and inspiring children to explore a wealth of quality books and new authors. Clearly, this will involve replacing some very old and worn books and buying a range of new titles. However, it also involves creating the right reading environment. We need accessible bookshelves, comfortable seating and the fixtures and fittings to create a quiet and relaxed atmosphere for reading.

Our total project will cost about £10,000 and we really want to contribute as much as we can. Please keep sponsoring the children and donating to our project! We're blown away by the generosity of the extended school community so far - thank you.
