Story
It is now a year since the first lockdown for the Coronavirus pandemic. The one thing we have all been able to do during this time is to exercise at home and outdoors.
GRIT; is a small but ambitious charity based in North Herts that offers a unique boxing-coaching programme to teenagers who are struggling with anxiety and mental health issues. Our programme is free to teenagers and we have kept going through the pandemic despite all our fundraising being put on hold.
We URGENTLY need to get our fundraising back on track: Can you help?
WE NEED YOU TO COMMIT TO WALKING, RUNNING, CYCLING OR SWIMMING 500 miles for GRIT.
How does this work?
Sign up to Just Giving and register your own page to raise money for GRIT: Use the Event GRIT; 500 CHALLENGE. Invite family and friends to support you.
Then use any tracking app to record your progress. This is your challenge complete it any way you want. Walk alone for 500 miles; a family of five walking for 2 miles completes 10 miles for GRIT; Two households of say 10 people cycling for 10 miles completes 100 miles for GRIT; and so on. You have until the 4th of June to complete this.
When you have finished send us a picture of your team or solo efforts. There is a prize for the most innovative picture!
Please post pictures on social media using the #gritcharity
If exercise is not your thing then please consider donating to this Just Giving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Growing Resilience in Teens, so it's the most efficient way to give - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you,
The GRIT Team
