Story

Great Lengths: The new challenge event taking place at Sea Lanes Brighton!

Taking place at our brand new Sea Lanes on Madeira Drive (the UK’s first national open water swimming centre), Great Lengths will straddle the gap between indoor and outdoor swimming.

The Brighton-based organisers of the event, Team Domenica, support young people with learning disabilities to reach their full potential. And Great Lengths is designed to raise the much needed funds to help their young people find paid and meaningful employment.

This event is an amazing opportunity for anyone with a passion for the sea, or swimming, to challenge themselves, have fun and raise money to support this local charity.

Here are the details…

Great Lengths will be Brighton & Hove’s first inclusive swim challenge aimed at all abilities. Having seen their young people overcome many hurdles, Team Domenica know that a ‘challenge’ can look different for everyone… getting into the water could be a huge achievement, or swimming five kilometres could feel like a breeze; that’s why participants can choose from a range of distances.

You can find out more information by visiting teamdomenica.com/greatlengths, but there are some basic questions answered below.

Do I get anything for participating?

All participants will receive a swim cap and edible medal upon completing their personal challenge.
