Story
Updated 27/07/21 - Entries for this event are now closed.
Last year Graig Shipping organised a 100km Bike Ride to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre. So popular was it that we are doing it all over again!
This fun ride takes place on Saturday 5th September 2020 at 8am from the Brewhouse Kitchen public house in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Riders will cycle up the Graigwen into the stunning Welsh hills and finish back at the Brewhouse where riders will celebrate their achievements with a well-earned meal.
This is a fun ride, not a race or sportive, and is being organised by seasoned cyclists. There will be marshals, first aiders, food and water stations along the route and all riders will be given a commemorative t-shirt.
Spaces are limited to 125 and will be given on a first come first served basis. Last year the ride applications closed in 7 days! So dont dilly dally.
There is no entry fee and all funds raised will go directly to Velindre Cancer Care. The cost of the event is being met by the organisers, Graig and several sponsors.
All the organisers ask is that each rider raises a minimum sponsorship of £75 for Velindre using this page. It is the first 125 to donate a minimum of £75 each who will be successful candidates. Organisers strongly suggest you donate the full £75 on application to secure your place.
Just follow these simple instructions to set up your personalised Just Giving page - click Start Fundraising on top RHS of this page and follow the instructions three clicks and your Just Giving page is up and running,
Please note only online donations and not offline will count.
Once you have reached the £75 minimum raise please send an email to Graig100@graig.com with:-
- Your full name, address and mobile number
- The link to your JustGiving page confirming a minimum of £75 online donations.
- Your shirt size (XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL).
Registrations close: First 125 riders registered with minimum £75 donation will qualify. If there are applicants who have raised less than £75 and we have reached out total of 125 applicants with minimum £75 then unfortunately those registered and not reached the minimum £75 will not be permitted to ride. Organisers therefore strongly suggest applicants make the full £75 donation on registration to ensure they secure their place.
Many thanks,
Graig100
