Story

This October sees the return of our biggest annual fundraising event Go the Distance, which in the past has captured the hearts of our community seeing as many as 100 participants aged 3 to 77 years old.

Determined this fantastic event would not be outrun by Covid-19, we have adapted to government guidelines - as a valued supporter of ours, we wish to invite you to take part in Go the Distance virtually!

10.10.2020 is World Homelessness Day and World Mental Health Day so use the date as inspiration! Walk 20 miles, cycle or salsa 10 hours, dance in your street for 20 minutes, run 10 online exercise classes dream up any 10 or 20 challenge at any time in October its up to you!

Go the Distance seeks to get you out and about, in a location of your choice, any time throughout October - a challenge bespoke to you that will bring huge benefit to others. Involve family and friends - it doesnt matter what 10 or 20 challenge you choose, as long as its safe, meeting current Government Covid guidelines.

Registration is free and we encourage you to sign up so we can both thank you and deliver a fantastic medal, a t-shirt and fundraising pack to you - all we ask you to do is to fundraise as much sponsorship money as you can!

So, please join in - CHALLENGE YOURSELF be a Hero at Home and GO THE DISTANCE for the growing number of local men and women who do not have a place to call home.

For every £85 raised, we can give one day of emergency support to as many as 30 homeless men and women

A huge thank you to Priavo Security, Thyme Wills and South Downs Leisure for supporting this event!
