Urban Green Newcastle is delighted to be working in partnership with the Gosforth Play Park community group to revitalise the children’s play ground in Gosforth Central Park.

Gosforth Play Park community group is a volunteer group who are fundraising with the local community and businesses for the park improvements.

Our fundraising target is north of £125k to bring a new, safe play park to Gosforth. Although this seems like a lot the play ground costs are expensive and a new safe flooring is nearly half the amount needed!

UPDATE - TOTAL July 2024- We have a new total figure pledged and raised of approximately £84,615!

This is in addition to the current investment of £14,000 that has already been spent repairing equipment. Which came from a generous donation from Gosforth Shopping Centre 2023 Royalty Cinema Event, public donations raised by GPP and additional funding by Urban Green Newcastle. The money funded a new aero-glide handle and trolley; repairs and replacement parts for the ‘Kanope’ large multiplay; upgrades to the Play Boat, Rocker, Sweeping Seesaw, and Gyro Spiral; and repainting.
