We'll Go the Distance with you!
Good mental health isn’t a destination, it’s a lifelong journey we all navigate; Mercy are committed to equip Christians with tools to live free and stay free. For over 18 years we have come alongside people to help them ‘Go the Distance’, no matter whether you are beginning your journey to live free (from the challenges that hold you back), or if you’ve already covered many miles.
This year, again, we want to ‘Go the Distance’ with you, supporting you with tools, resources, prayer and encouragement. And we invite YOU to 'Go the Distance' for another!
Why Go the Distance for another?
This campaign was launched back in December by Martyn and Helen Edwards, key team from Mercy Isle of Man. Martyn embarked on his biggest challenge to date: the Patagonman Extreme Triathlon. AND completed it!
A key part of Martyn’s training and challenge was the support and accompaniment of his wife Helen. She was there to go the distance of the Patagonman as his support. Just like in life, we all need encouragement, support and someone there in the hardest moments of our mental health journey. Helen was there as Martyn’s encouragement, navigator, and to remind him of the goal to continue even when his body felt like giving up.
If like us, you’re inspired by Martyn’s physical journey, would you take part in raising awareness and vital funds to support others on a Christian Mental health journey with Mercy UK?
How to get involved.
Simply set your challenge on the orange 'start fundraising' button, share it with friends, colleagues and family, and away you go!
Freedom is for everyone
Alongside this physical challenge we are setting, we also want to encourage and promote coming alongside friends, colleagues and family in your own world, who may need that support and companionship to navigate their own mental health challenges this year.
Throughout the year, we will be sharing more of our tools and resources to encourage and equip you to do so, as well as the main services Mercy offer, in the Keys to Freedom Study, and the Freedom Journey 16 week discipleship programme. Just visit mercyuk.org to see more. All funds raised will go towards helping others through these services.
