Story
This year for #CBITGloWeek23 we are asking for a simple pledge as well as running some fun fundraising competitions! These are all to get conversations started and encourage/educate children and young people about our key message to 'Be Seen, Not Hurt' as the winter months draw in.
Every year when the clocks change, there is an increase in road traffic accidents. We want to reduce this, so fewer accidents happen and result in an acquired brain injury through raising awareness. Will you help us reach that goal?
Our Simple (yet effective) Pledge:
We are asking you to make a pledge in support of our campaign. Have a conversation with a child or young person about the importance of road safety and being bright when out and about (especially in the dark).
Why do we need to wear bright colours? Why is it important to have reflective gear when cycling? What do you need to check before you cross the road? Having these conversations is the start of improving road safety this autumn.
Other ways you can get involved include:
Setting up your own fundraiser: your school or workplace could have to wear bright clothes for a day with a donation, or you could run a cake sale.
We are running a fun competition this GloWeek.
A small fundraising ask;
£5 entry for individuals
£10 entry for families
£25 entry for groups of 6
In exchange for…
Submit your Glowing Pose: We are looking for you to take a VERY BRIGHT and fun posing picture outdoors to help promote our GloWeek message.
Send your entries to: marketing@cbituk.org
Submit your Glowing dance: We are looking for you to submit your best Glowing dance routine (no longer than 30 seconds). You can do this on your own or as a group.
Please send all photo and video entries to marketing@cbituk.org. There will be a prize awarded for the best entry of each category. Thank you for your support. Lets get GLOWING!
